Question: Tracking Links Are Not Working
When I follow my own tracking link:
http://w-o-w.com/?i=145555/HD
it does not go to the site I am trying to track but to some other site completely
Solution:
The reason your tracking links is not going where you want it ot go is because you copied your tracking link incorectly.
this is your tracking link:
http://w-o-w.com/?i=145555/HD
and this is the correct tracking link:
http://w--o--w.com/?i=145555/HD
notice the double dash (--) in the correct link?
this answer also applies to the following tracking domains:
http://show--me.com/?i=145555/HD
http://a--b--c.com/?i=145555/HD
http://y--e--s.com/?i=145555/HD
for any tracking domains not specifically mentioned here there is only a single dash
Question: Can't edit or update my links
When I edit my links they do not update to go to the site I updated it to go to.
example: when my tracking link was going to
http://www.oldsite.com and I update it to now go to
http://www.newsite.com it still directs to
http://www.oldsite.com
Also, whenever I try and edit my site the option to have the auto promotion bar turned on or off shows as "Yes, at the top" even if I move it to the bottom or turn it off completely
Solution:
When you follow your own tracking link, take note that you are being treated exactly the same as any other visitor who follows your tracking link. What this means is the following:
When a visitor first follows a tracking link TrackThatAd counts the visit and also drops a cookie on the visitors manchine which lasts for a period of 45 minutes. The reason we do this is to not count the visitor again as our members wants to know how many unique clicks they got as opposed to how many time the same visitor followed a specific tracking link.
When the cookie is still active (45 minutes) Trackthatad redirects the visitor without counting the visit again and then also redirects the visitor to the cached website desitination.
What this means in relation to your question is that if you follow your own tracking link and then want to update it, for a period of 45 minutes you will be directed to the cached copy of the link you just followed.
Bear in mind though that any updates happens immediatly, meaning that even though you are still seeing the cached copy, any visitor who has not followed your tracking link yet will immediatly go through to the updated destination.
This also applies when you turn off or move the auto promotion bar.
As far as the auto promotion bar being shown every time you edit your campaigns, this is the defautl setting because it is reccomended by tta to have auto promotion turned on. However, if you choose to turn it off or move it to the bottom, this will take immediate effect. If it does not take immediat effect for you it is only because you are still viewing a cached copy
Question: can't turn off the auto promotion bar.
Everytime I try to edit my campaign the option to show the auto promotion bar shows "yes, at the top".
Even if I move it or turn it off completely, it still shows as "yes, at the top".
How can I change it?

The auto promotion bar being shown every time you edit your campaigns is the defautl setting because it is reccomended by tta to have auto promotion turned on. However, if you choose to turn it off or move it to the bottom, this will take immediate effect. Bottom line is, even if you turn off or move the auto promotion bar, the default when going to the editing screen is to have it turn on and showing at the top

If you have set your browser's cookie setting to anything above the default cookie settings your membership site can't see if you are logged in because your browser prevents us from writing this cookie to your system.
Please note, we aren't collecting any information from you. The cookie simply exists to see if you are currently logged in.
To resolve this problem open your browser, go into the options or preferences (depending on what browser you are using) and set your cookies to the default setting.

Question: http://show--me.com problem
This is very serious http://show--me.com is comming up website not found. This srewed up my entire autoresponder campaigns, even causing drop outs on my lists. How about all the other people who are having this problem!
Solution:
The domain was suspended because of abuse by some of our members.
Godaddy claims they received a lot of complaints about spam email where this
domain was used, but they are unwilling to supply me with the emails so I can
deal with the member responsible.
As Godaddy is the only registrar who polices domains I am in the process
of moving the other tracking domain away from GoDaddy so that this type
of thing cannot happen again.
While the move is taking place, there should not be any disruption in service,
however, we will move them one at a time starting with the least-used domain.

Solution:
You can correct this issue by yourself by simply logging into your back-office (members area) and clicking on:
My Tools ==> My Start Page ==> Force Home Page Refresh

How to sign up for a free plimus account
Solution:
When you sign up for a Plimus affiliate account you can use any website address.
You may use something like:
They will not allow you to enter an affiliate website, but this is not important as you only need the account so we can pay you.
Please note, if you already have a Vendor / Buyer account with Plimus, you may update your IPP profile with that username and there for do not need to sign up for another Plimus account
